It's Getting Official...

Last week, Brad and I got to spend a leisurly week in Cozumel soaking up the sun with his sister, brother, and their spouses. 

While we were gone, I received payment from Pubslush (the company that I did my crowdfunding book campaign through) into my account.  It feels so official.  Here is the breakdown of the final numbers:

Total Raised: $ 13,080.00

Declined Charges:- $ 315.00

Charity (-2%):- $ 255.30

Pubslush Fee (-4%):- $ 510.60

Credit Card Fee (-3.5%):- $ 446.78

Total Payout: $ 11,552.33

So if you take $11,552.33 and add the cash, checks, and the money people donated directly to March of Dimes ($1270), my grand total is now: $12,822.33!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ALL of this will be used for the publication of Home Runs in Heaven and then, of course, to March of Dimes. 

Pretty freakin' awesome.

Right now, my brother is still working on the illustrations.  My contact at Create Space and I spoke this week and she said once he has the cover completely finished, we can at least begin the process - get the ball rolling.  Now that the money is ready, I'm soooooo ready to get this thing started!!!
