OUCH!

If you ever want to know what happens when a daddy chases a one year old around a gameroom, I know the answer... a little head hits the corner of the wall.  Boys will be boys, I guess.
 Poor Guy!
 So much for the ice.
Still awfully cute though!

A Weekend of Thanks

Late Wednesday night, Brad's parents, sister, brother-in-law, two nephews, niece, brother, and sister-in-law came into Dallas from Iowa, Kansas City, and South Dakota.  Needless to say, we had a full house!  Of course, we were all celebrating Thanksgiving together.  But, in addition, we had Brady's baptism yesterday and so we got to celebrate that also.

Despite, the chaos, we truly had a great weekend.  And in fact, I think as our kids get older, we may even miss the craziness of these early years.  I adore my in-laws, so having them around for four nights was wonderful and I was very sad to see them leave this morning.

I'll leave you with just some of the many highlights of our weekend together...
Seeing how much my niece, Jensen, has grown since July, Knox constantly pointing at Jensen and Brady and telling us, "baby!",delicious turkey dinner (that I didn't have to cook!), Brady sleeping from 8:30pm-4:30am TWO of the four nights, pecan pie, talks with my sister-in-laws and mom-in-law, shopping on Black Friday, booking a Spring Break trip to Cozumel with Jill and Eric, Brady spraying poop on me (and the couch!) during a diaper change, Brady in her baptismal gown, Knox trying to tackle Jensen every chance he got, Tate, Knox and their cousins, Cade and Colton, running through the house naked after a shower, watching the kids open Christmas presents from Grandma and Grandpa Sievers... and all of this with minimal tears and maximum love.

Dallas Arboretum

My mom and I took the kids to the Dallas Arboretum yesterday.  It was nice to get everyone out of the house on a nice fall day.  I feel like we've been cooped up for so long now.  I try to get out a little bit each week, but it's definitely a lot harder than it used to be with just the boys.

All in all, the kids did great.  Tate and Knox loved just running around and playing.  Although I will say that Knox has a mind of his own and tends to do whatever he pleases whenever he pleases.  So much of the day was spent chasing him and carrying him to where the rest of us were.  At least we were outside, so his screaming and flailing around wasn't all that bothersome to anyone.  Brady was quite content in her stroller and slept pretty much the entire time.  Thank you, sweet girl!  (And I swear she was there, I guess I just forgot to take any pictures of her... what kind of mom am I!?)

Newborn Pics

Six days after Brady was born, we had a photographer come to the house to take some pictures of her.  Here are few of my favorites...

Rewind

So obviously the last ten days or so have been crazy around here.  Overall, Brady is doing great and as of Tuesday, she had already gained back all the weight she lost in the hospital.  She loves to eat and sleep most of the day, but on occasion, she peeks at us with those pretty blue eyes of hers.  Now if we could just stop referring to her and a "him" that would be nice.  Poor girl!

The boys are completely smitten with her... this includes her Daddy.  Tate thinks he's so "big" when he gets to hold her and surprisingly, Knox wants to give her kisses and hugs every time he sees her.

We're all just trying to get our bearings and make it through these first few weeks unscathed.  Enjoy some more pictures!

He must love her if he puts his string cheese down for a little cuddle!
 Pretty girl!
Our attempt at a picture of the three of them with the pumpkins I made.

My Little LeftIES

We've known for years now that Tate bats left-handed. Well, my friends, now his little brother is following right in his footsteps. Yes, Knox is lefty as well. Here's the video to prove it!

When no one's out to pitch to you, why not just pitch to yourself?!  Check out Tate's newest skill!

And just because it's cracking me up... Look at what Knox did to his older brother this morning...
