Late Wednesday night, Brad's parents, sister, brother-in-law, two nephews, niece, brother, and sister-in-law came into Dallas from Iowa, Kansas City, and South Dakota. Needless to say, we had a full house! Of course, we were all celebrating Thanksgiving together. But, in addition, we had Brady's baptism yesterday and so we got to celebrate that also.
Despite, the chaos, we truly had a great weekend. And in fact, I think as our kids get older, we may even miss the craziness of these early years. I adore my in-laws, so having them around for four nights was wonderful and I was very sad to see them leave this morning.
I'll leave you with just some of the many highlights of our weekend together...
Seeing how much my niece, Jensen, has grown since July, Knox constantly pointing at Jensen and Brady and telling us, "baby!",delicious turkey dinner (that I didn't have to cook!), Brady sleeping from 8:30pm-4:30am TWO of the four nights, pecan pie, talks with my sister-in-laws and mom-in-law, shopping on Black Friday, booking a Spring Break trip to Cozumel with Jill and Eric, Brady spraying poop on me (and the couch!) during a diaper change, Brady in her baptismal gown, Knox trying to tackle Jensen every chance he got, Tate, Knox and their cousins, Cade and Colton, running through the house naked after a shower, watching the kids open Christmas presents from Grandma and Grandpa Sievers... and all of this with minimal tears and maximum love.
